Obituary     REDD Kathleen A. "Kathy"  Kathleen A. "Kathy" Redd, age 62, of Toledo, passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 4, 1950, to Robert and Lucianne (Marshall) McRitchie. In her younger years Kathy was a promotional model; companies would hire her to promote their clothing line. She also was a make-up artist for many years at Hudson's.  Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 42 years, James R. "Jim" Redd; son, Nick Redd and daughter, Dannielle Redd; grandson, Dominic Redd and granddaughter, Desirae Meade; sister, Lynn Sampson and her daughter, Rita Sampson; brothers, Dave McRitchie and his son, Keith McRitchie; Tom (Diane) McRitchie and their daughter, Sarah McRitchie; sisters-in-law, Laura Redd and Louise Gray. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, John McRitchie a.k.a. Johnny Mack. The family will receive guests on Friday from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and also 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. The family would like to specially thank the staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio and the respiratory therapists at Mercy St. Anne Hospital for the loving care and support they provided to Kathy.
