Just got off the phone with Roger he is now in Hartland Rehabilitation center in Sylvania. .. He is on pain medication and is going to see the cardiologist tomorrow and the vascular surgeon on Friday. Problem is his legs still won't work and every time the Dr wants to do something his blood pressure goes up and they have to cancel the test. Elaine says he has pneumonia on top of everything else. He sounds very frustrated so if ya can send a card and hopefully that will cheer him up... sending healing thoughts & prayers your way Roger... get well soon!

Hey Nancy Wolff Szymanski - HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  I hope you have a very special day.  I've told you on countless occasions how much I appreciate you, especially all your help  with my move from NY back here to Ohio and for other things as well.  It's always so good to see you and communicate with you.  This is your day - so go out and have a good time; and remember - your 67 years old now!       Marcia

Happy Birthday wishes to you, Nancy, and also to Kim and Dale!  Yes, we used to think being this old was really ancient, and now we know we have YEARS to go before that’s true!  At least that’s what I tell myself.  Celebrate everything!  ðŸ˜œ

Season’s greetings to all of my fellow Start HS classmates. I thought that I should post this month’s “Fundango” plans as quickly as possible so that everyone would have time to fit it into their busy Holiday social calendars.

Taking the Holiday Season into consideration, Ed and I decided to have this month’s “Fundango” on Thursday, December 28th, hoping that date would work best for the majority of our classmates. We also thought that it would be fun to take advantage of the seasonally festive nature of the downtown area, particularly along St. Clair Street, where a number of the eateries have traditionally been covering their front exteriors with a multitude of colorful Christmas lights.

So yesterday Ed and I went downtown and made all of the necessary arrangements at "Ye Olde Durty Bird” which is located at 2 S. St. Clair St., in downtown Toledo.

Of special interest, they have their Happy Hour from 4 - 7 pm (with draft beer and frozen drink specials), and while they do have a free parking lot (for about 20 vehicles) right next to the restaurant, we were told that the metered street parking is free after 5 pm.

For whatever its worth, I am of the opinion that the food there is pretty good (the majority of the reviews rate it at least with 4 of 5 stars), so feel free to check out their Menu in advance, and to come expecting some good eats (I know that I will).

So here is wishing everyone a very joyous and happy Holiday Season, and I will be looking forward to seeing everyone on the 28th, at Ye Olde Durty Bird.

Update on Roger.

I stopped by to see Roger today, he is doing better, can move his legs, can tell the difference btw a sharp poke or a dull poke on his thighs. He says his feet feell like they are swollen, but they are not, CANNOT walk still, still has the problem of his blood pressure going sky high and rapid heart rate when he attempts to sit up, or tries physical therapy.

Dr.'s are at a loss as to why, supposed to go home on the 23rd, he says he told them no way, I can't walk.

So fellow classmates, here in Toledo, take the time this Holiday Season to stop by a bring him some cheer and well wishes, an hour round trip to spend time and drive, is something we can afford to do, if it was YOU in the hospital, I bet you'd love to be bothered by classmate telling you bad jokes.
