A quick mention, that I forgot to mention earlier, and that has nothing to do with our class "Fundangoes", tomorrow (Friday), December 29th, at the Perrysburg Ralphies, I will be having a Gameday Party for the 2017 Cotton Bowl. The game, featuring the Ohio State Buckeyes vs. the USC Trojans, starts at 8:30 pm. Hope that you will consider coming and joining me and some of my friends  (because its tough to imagine watching the Buckeyes play football without the other 105,000 college football fans that I normally watch the Buckeyes with).

For whatever it is worth, other than the playoff bowls, the prognosticators are claiming that this will be the best bowl game match-up of the entire 2017 “Bowl Season,” and the last time that OSU defeated USC was 1973, since then OSU has lost to USC in the last six match-ups. I am hoping that with that kind of bulletin board material, the Buckeyes will be fired up to play a great game. So do come if you can.

Loved seeing the Fundango pictures.  Sure wish I lived closer so I could attend more of these.  Dale, you have to be a happy camper after the Ohio State game!  We only have one more BIG to get their win!  Normally, I do not ever side with Michigan, but I will make an exception on Jan 1.  We Boilers were certainly happy!

I was hosting the New Years Party this year, but am now sick so it has shifted to a friend and I will sit here alone as 2017 rolls around to 2018.

I hope that everybody has a wonderful and HEALTHY New Year!  Be safe out there tonight.

To begin the year of the 50th, all members of all of the reunion committees will meet before the Fundango, Tuesday, January 23, at 4:00 PM. If you want to be involved and have not yet been drafted or volunteered, please attend.

Ed and Dale will be announcing the location in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, make a calendar note and see you in three weeks!

Roger Worley UPDATE!!

I Spoke to Roger yesterday and he is still in the Heartland Rehabilitation Center in Sylvania.  He tells me that they are able to get him up on the parallel bars for a few minutes every day. His light headedness has subsided but he is very frustrated over the whole ordeal. He was very happy to tell me of all the classmates that have sent cards and come out to see him. Please keep up this encouragement it really seems to help him! Thanks Spartans we need each other now more than ever!

I went to see Roger last week. Pat is correct! It means a great deal to him to have company. Can't imagine how boring it must be. He hates the food there and has lost 20 pounds so a vanilla milkshake or fried chicken from KFC or Popeyes would make him happy (he's not into chocolate).

Thanks for the update. I have seen him twice, and it seems as if he's finally making some progress. When I last saw him, he wasn't able to do much because of the blood presure issues. I frequently shop at the Krogers next door to the rehab center, and will stop in again soon.

Hall of Fame Dinner and Ceremony is Saturday, February 24, at the Holiday Inn French Quarter. Dennis Hall from our class will be honored posthumously. You need not have known Denny well or at all to represent our class at the dinner. We need six more people for our table. Kim Maros, Joe Goodell, Chip Carstensen and I are at the table now. Cost is $50. The dinner raises money for a scholarship fund. (Food is decent and there is a bar.) Come on, Class of 68, let's have at least one table of 10.

First I need to apologize for taking so long to get our information out regarding this month’s “Fundango". However, in all honesty, Ed and I ran into our first truly significant roadblock in attempting to make all of our “Fundango” arrangements. In fact, we finally decided to give-up on our original selection, and go in a completely different direction. So Ed and I had lunch at our new prospective site today, and worked out all of the details with the management.

We think that you will enjoy the results of our efforts, so clear out your social calendar for Tuesday, January 23, and make plans to travel over to the Perrysburg Holiday Inn French Quarter, where we will be having our “Fundango” at the J. Patrick's Pub & Restaurant.

A quick reminder that Jan asked for all members of the reunion committees to meet before the Fundango at 4:00, at the same location. … and yes, Ed and I made arrangements for that too.

We plan to be there at 4:00 baring any blizzards or if we end up frozen somewhere.  See you all Tuesday the 23rd!!!

If you are not on a reunion committee and would like to help, please attend this meeting. The subcommittee chairs can always use additional help and we will need extra hands the weekend of the reunion.
