MISSING CLASSMATES

Know the email address of a missing Classmate? Click here to contact them!

Welcome to the Start High Class Of 1968 web site!  We are having regular get togethers at local area restaurants.  Watch for the annoucements of our Fandango's and do your best to be there. We still need your help in locating missing or lost classmates so as many as possible can be invited to attend our next Reunion (50?).  Review the Classmates Profile and update your information or that of other missing classmates you have located by emailing it to Nancy at SpartanUpdate68@Gmail.com or starthigh68@bex.net   We will maintain this site and email address for a long time so we can more easily stay in touch with each other.  Thanks for keeping the Spartan Spirit going strong....

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Memorial '68

Victory!

As of yesterday we have met our goal, the contract to the sculptor has been signed and the sculpture and time capsule will be installed next summer along with the placement & dedication of the First Spartan plaque in the fall of 2016….congratulations to all 72 memorial contributors!

The amount collected is slightly over the goal and as stated all funds collected exceeding our goal will be used to fund a 50th Anniversary Scholarship to a deserving 2018 SHS senior in commemoration of our 50th reunion. The Memorial ’68 website will remain active for the duration so to enable contributions to the scholarship, with a goal of $1,000.00.

REGARDING OUR MIA LIST!

As you know we have been working on updating our class mailing list and thanks to the hard work & research on the part of Nancy Szymanski, Jan Alexander and a lot of input from our Spartan Classmates we have reduced the Original MIA's from the 126 listed here on this site to the 77 names now listed under "Missing Classmates". This updates our Class mailing list to aproximately 350 addresses out of 417, 1968 Graduates. Not bad after almost 50 years!!

ADDITIONALLY We have updated our "In Memory Page" with the most recent Information we have.

 Class of 68 still "Gettin-It-Done!!

We Now have a Roy C Start-SixEight Facebook page as well. Please sign up for the latest anouncements, photos and comments from fellow 68 Start Grads. It's alot of fun and a great way to stay in touch! Just go to Facebook and send a friend request to Roy C Start-SixEight.

I have been in contact with Dale Bennington and Tom Stokes about the Start HIgh 68 memorial tree and other ideas we are working on for the future. I wholeheartedly support this effort and thank Dale and Tom (and others) for stepping up and moving things forward.

We are definitely going to have a 50th Reunion and will use our periodic get togethers as a springboard to plan the timing and events for the 50th reunion weekend. Thanks to all loyal Spartans for your spirit. The "Great Class of 68" still gets things done...Chip.

See http://www.68memorial.org/home.html for info on the memorial and donations.

We now have a facebook page for our class that Tom Stokes has put together for us.  It is:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/Start-High-School-Class-of-1968/321520411371739?ref=hl

For those who use Facebook this is another way to connect with our class activities and classmates.

The Spirit Tree dedication went extremely well in December and we all can thank Dale Benington, Tom Stokes, and Ed Kanarowski for making it happen.  The Great Class of '68 carries on!!!
