Fellow Spartans,  near and far.  In 2 years,  2028 will be our 60th reunion.   Some of us talked about this at our last fundango.   If nothing else, we need to celebrate our longevity,  we are surviving and hopefully thriving 60 years after graduation.   Please post or let us know who may be interested in showing up for a reunion festivity.   I don't think we have any savings left from the last reunion to help reserve a location.   Also , any suggestions for a location is welcome.   An estimate of attendees would be helpful.   My brother's 50th reunion was held at Shorty's Back Forty on Monroe St (a Mancy venue).  I was his "guest", the  buffet was great, indoor and outdoor seating, mingling.   All suggestions welcome.   Please post your thoughts, or let someone know to share your thoughts.

We have a special fundango on Tuesday, September 8th at noon.

Lynn and Skip Aston have graciously offered to host another fundango at their home.

7973 Quarry Rd, Maumee, OH

They will provide City BBQ, includes, 2 meats (pork & chicken), Mac & cheese, coleslaw, corn pudding.  Also H2O and flavored H2O, soft drinks, and beer. If you want something different, bring it  We can each provide a side dish or dessert.  Maybe throw a lawn chair in the trunk in case they're needed.  

They have corn hole, kayaks, paddle boards, pedal boats, pontoon boat rides, and quarry swiming.  Pray for good weather.

The September fundango is Wednesday,  the 30th at 1 o'clock.   We are going back to the original Tony Packo's 

1902 Front st, 43605.  

Dave Dugai missed the fundango in April cuz he was still in Florida.   So we are going back before he and the other snow birds head south.  Everyone there last time had some good memories from our youth at Tony Packo's.   Hope to see some new faces since we changed the day to Wednesday.  🌭🥣🍺

Douglas M. Tima

Dec 31, 1969 — Aug 11, 2016

 
Biography:  Douglas M. Tima, 65 of Bucyrus passed away unexpectedly due to natural causes on Thursday morning at his home.  Doug was born Oct. 21, 1950 in Toledo to the late Joseph and Irene (O’Reilly) Tima.  He was married Dec. 26, 1982 to Tami (Wolf) Tima who survives.  In addition to his wife, Doug is survived by son Douglas (Jessica) Tima II of Westerville and sister Diane (Ronald) Grudzinski of Michigan. Doug is also survived by many loving and caring relatives. 
 
Doug graduated from Roy C. Start High School in Toledo in 1968 and continued his education at the University of Toledo.  He moved to Bucyrus in 1974 and taught Special Education in the Bucyrus City School District from 1974 until 2002 when he retired.  Doug was a coach for most of his teaching career for: the Bucyrus Varsity Football Team, the Bucyrus Middle School Track Team, and Head Coach of the Bucyrus Cross Country Team.  He was a member of the American Legion Post 181 and the Bucyrus Moose Lodge. Doug was an avid diehard sports fan for the Detroit Tigers, Lions, Red Wings, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Doug also loved fishing and boating around many lakes across the country. 
 
The family will receive friends at the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm.  A Memorial Service will be held on Monday at 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to the Bucyrus Athletic Boosters: The Doug Tima Memorial Fund, through the funeral home. The memorial fund is being set up to assist Bucyrus City School students to participate in sports.
