MC CLAIN Bob J. "Bob", Jr. Robert "Bob" J. McClain, Jr., of Sylvania, passed away on November 1, 2011, after a long battle with cancer. Bob was born May 16, 1950 and married Bridget (Lynch) McClain his wife and best friend for 41 years. Bob was a longtime member of the Carpenter Union Local 1138, working most of his career with The Spieker Company. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. McClain, Sr.; his brother, Scott, and his sister, Laren Kay. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Bridget, their son Bob, wife Jodi and grandchildren Alexis, Lane, and Haley; son Ben; son Ryan, wife Mary, and grand children Keegan, Griffin, and a new angel to arrive in early December; and his daughter Kelli and grandchildren Braden, Kacee, and Joeli. Also surviving Bob is his mother Doris McClain and sister Lori. One of Bob's proudest accomplishments was building his home in Sylvania, where he and Bridget raised their children. Bob will be remembered most as a loving husband, a great dad, and a friend who gave of his time and talents. He will be missed by all who knew him. There is no funeral service planned, but the family invites you to join them for a celebration of Bob's life, on Friday, November 4,2011, at Sylvania Olander Park, in the Nederhouser Community Hall, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The Laren Kay McClain Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o University of Toledo Foundation online at www.utfoundation.org designating it in memory of Bob McClain, or to a charity of the donors choice.
