Sandy was my best friend from grade school through high school and beyond. She fought a gallant fight against the ovarian cancer that took her life and faced her death with courage, strength, faith and prayer. I miss her to this day. She is survived by her husband, Steve; son, Brian; and daughter, Kelly. Submitted by Susan Hancock.
Sandy and I used to ride together to our classes at UT. We both worked part time at Sears during that time and we even did our student teaching at the same grade school. She was a very good friend during those years. We had a lot of good times. Unfortunately over the years, we lost contact with each other.
I was very surprised and saddened to see that she had passed away. Way too young to leave this world.
Having not lived in Toledo for over 30 years, much of the information here is new to me. So sad to see so many young people (at 64 most everyone seems young) passing. I appreciate reading the eulogies here, and remembering those who've moved on.
