Awesome, my good friend. Now don't start running the 24 K before the doc gives you the green light.

I hope everyone is recovering well. I wondering if anyone would like to meet up this Friday, 7/17 @ noon, to socially distance at Oleander park in Sylvania. Park in the Tam-O-Shanter parking lot. Cross Vicksburg and enter the park thru any of the 3 gates. This is a free entry. Bring your chair or blanket and your lunch and beverages. I'm not sure if we can get picnic tables but if we have our chairs we should be able to be under the trees. Hope to see many of you Spartans for some fresh air and frivolity. 🀩

What a wonderful idea Kathy! An outdoor picnic Fundango. A better place you couldn't find than Oleander Park. It is beautiful if memory serves. We would certainly join this outing were we in Toledo... Have fun gang and please don't forget your masks! Maybe you could do a Zoom at the same time? I know many of the out of town Spartans would love to see some old friends and look at that beautiful park in the process.

Great idea Kathy Friday sounds fun and safe! Wish I could be there but Friday at 1pm I get my prosthesis(hopefully it will be ready Fri). So I hope to be walking somewhat on Fri and start rehab the following week to learn how to walk again.

I hope we can get another Olander or one of our other great parks here in the area. I've been pretty much cooped at home since January....would enjoy getting out seeing everyone.

Stay Safe everyone!!!!!!

Frank

I received a message that John Underwood had a stroke last Saturday and complications from carotid artery surgery for a 100% blockage on one side. This complication followed his second dose of chemo.

In addition, Joyce Levre Snively's husband is going through cancer treatment at Moffitt in Tampa. Our classmates needs all the positive thoughts we can muster.

Attached is a link for the obituary for SHS graduate Ric Hyman (class of '66) Ric's wife, Sue Hyman (Albright) asked that I forward this to our classmates.  Ric was a close friend and he is missed by all who knew him well.

Best wishes to all, Bill

Sue, so sorry for your loss.Prayers to you and your family.
My son gave a kidney to his wife on Wednesday at Cleveland clinic. I brought them home Friday. I couldn't be with them cuz of covid. Walked them to the hotel lobby at midnight Tuesday so the Cleveland clinic policeman could shuttle them to their different entrances. I went home Wednesday after I heard they were OK. I got discharge instructions over the phone Friday. Picked them up and got home about7:30. She has to be back at 7 am Monday for labs and 4 hr infusion. Please keep us in your prayers. Bill and Cathy, praying for you guys too. And all other Spartans dealing with difficuties.

Hey everyone, sorry to hear about some of our Alumni form our class and others having some loss and health issues...my prayers and sympathy goes out to all of them.

Just to update everyone on my situation. I received my final prosthetic foot on Weds and started walking without holding on to anything 10 min after they had me up.....feels so good to stand and walk again on 2 feet!!!!  I wear my leg and foot bout 4-5 hrs a day. Some walking with the walker sometimes without...still gaining my balance and getting used to the device...it weighs 10 pounds so kinda heavy.

I want to thank everyone who sent me messages and prayers and offered their help to me. It is greatly appreciated. I know some of you who sent me messages were dealing with your own health issues and I thank you for taking the time to help me in my time of need. I pray for everyone that they get better and heal real soon.

If I can help out in anyway please don't hesitate to ask, I will do whatever I can to help those in need of assistance.

So, stay as healthy as you can....WEAR a MASK, Stay 6 Feet Away and we can lick this virus!!!!!!

All my prayers,

Frank
