Hello all, to answer your question  Jackie No I didn't offically go to St. Agnes school I went there 2 days a week for Catechism. That's where I meant and hung out with many St. Agnes friends

Now to all who Pat G. mentioned and maybe more  our friend from St. Agnes John Petro Passed away. He was the man in a wheel chair who was hit by a car crossing Laskey road . Rest in peace Johnny  .

Hey all!  If you're living anywhere with this cold spell right now hope you're keeping safe & warm.  Are we still having the Fundango at Hollywood Casino this Friday (Feb. 1) @ 11:30 AM?  If so, hope to see you there!

Cheryl, Yes, we are still planning on having our Fundango tomorrow, at 11:30. Our guess is that with the Polar Vortex ending Thursday afternoon, and temperatures rising (some) on Friday, those of us that are suffering from cabin fever will welcome the opportunity to spend some time socializing at the Hollywood Casino’s, Epic Buffet.

Just received this great note from George Koinis and wanted to share it with the reunion committee and all the attendees. Hope you can read sideways. I could not get this to be right-side up--sorry!

Good news! Sue Albright Hyman will be inducted into the Start Hall of Fame on March 23rd.  Sue is being honored for her long and outstanding career as a school counselor. She was one of the first four elementary counselors in the Toledo Public School system and helped develop the program.  Now, Sue is far too modest to ask you to be at the induction ceremony to help celebrate this honor, but I'm not.  Make plans now to attend the 18th Annual Start High Hall of Fame Induction Banquet  on Saturday, March 23rd in the Belvedere Room of The Toledo Club, 235 14th Street, in downtown Toledo.  Considering how many of you get together each month for your Fundangos, it seems to me that you could easily fill three or four tables to cheer for your Classmate, Sue.  Hey, Dale Bennington, maybe you and Ed Kanarowski could schedule the Belvedere Room of the Toledo Club to be the site of your March Fundango!

Sue is one of seven distinguished people that will comprise the Start Hall of Fame Class of 2019 and I have included a brief description of each inductee. (Click image at right to read.)  To make it easy for you, I have also included a Ticket Form (left) that you may click on to open a PDF that you'll be able to fill out on your computer.  You then may print it and send it, along with your payment, to reserve your spot at the banquet.

In keeping with the mission of the Start High Hall of Fame, this annual Induction Banquet is also a means to raise funds for scholarships that the Hall of Fame awards to deserving current Start graduates. The financial challenges facing today's grads are even greater than the ones you faced in 1968.  This year the Hall of Fame will be awarding three scholarships; two from the Hall of Fame general scholarship fund and one from the Class of ’66 First Class Gold Legacy Scholarship fund.  Please accept my personal invitation to join us on March 23rd for an inspirational evening with a great meal in a great setting that supports a great cause.  What more could you ask for?  If you have any questions you may shoot me an email with "Hall of Fame" in the Subject Line to <Start66@bex.net>  Hope to see you next month!

I was fortunate enough to get to eat dinner with George, Betsy Bachman, Tom and Barb (Glick) Wright and others. It was great to see all of them and get a chance to catch up a little. Like many of us have experienced it was if essentially no time had passed.

Ed and I just finished reconnoitering our next “Fundango” site, and we have successfully completed making all of the necessary arrangements with the site management, and our February “Fundango” is now officially ready to happen.

Our venue site has a “Happy Hour” everyday from 3:00 - 5:30 (and the management did promise to extend it for us until 6:00), with domestic, import, and craft beer being half off, along with 12 oz. margaritas being half off, and queso fundido, queso con carne, bean dip, Mexican pizza, quesadillas and all nachos being half off as well.

So get your social calendars out, and ink in this date, venue site, and location. Ready? Mark down, Tuesday, February 19th, at the Rossford, “Cinco de Mayo,” which is located at 1213 Schreier Road (between Lime City Road and the Dixie Highway). If you want to take advantage of the Happy Hour prices, get there by 5:30, otherwise, I will see you around 6 pm. Hopefully the weather will co-operate. See you then.

02/07/19 11:28 AM #3048

Dale Benington

If Ed and I would have realized that setting up "Fundangos" in Rossford was the key to making you two girls so happy .... we would have done this months ago.

Hmmmmm ...... so maybe we should put Moe's Place back up on our social calendar.

Cher, thanks for asking. This is day 3 of the rotator saga. Got the pain meds and the ice therapy machine so doing ok.  Dale, all you had to do was ask what made us happy. We are glad to share.....

Cheryl Miller (Johnson)

Jan, I know what would make you feel better...a Flaming Moe Burger! Dale, better put Moe's back in the rotation.  Jan, hope you're getting things "accomplished" with your left hand.
