As always, I do hope that all is going well with each of you, and your families. This Covid19 thing is indeed scary, and unfortunately very often hitting close to home. One of my friends, that I knew from my college days, just passed away from it this past Monday. It caught me by surprise because it seemed like he had survived the worst of it and was on the road to recovery.
It is because of our prolonged dealings with self isolation and social distancing, done in response to the Covid19 pandemic, that Pat and I (Okay, it was actually mostly Pat) came up with the idea of an online “May Fundango,” but for whatever the reason, it has not gotten much of a response. Which is fine, we can all wait until the restaurants open back up again before we resume our monthly social gatherings. But because this seems like such a good opportunity to make connect with “all” of our classmates, and not those just living in the Toledo area, we wanted to give this option one more run up the flagpole (still looking to see who all salutes it), before we give up on the idea.
So just in case you might like the opportunity to test the “Zoom” technology, to see just how our online “Fundango” would work, I have set up the meeting (with the help of my tech support team, my wife Pam), and have created a link that you can use to access the meeting in advance.
