Thoughts and prayers to everyone who has lost a friend or family member in the wars the country has fought in.  Please thank a veteran (if you can get out and about) as they're all important for us having freedom and all our many advantages.  I was just reminded - freedom is not free.  Have a blessed Memorial Day!  Stay safe and healthy.

Ditto Marcia. I still vote for the senior prom was at the rec center. Most every other dance was in the cafeteria. Good old Johnny Knorr and his orcastra. They were at many or all dances I believe....

My mind isn't what it once was but I thought the Student Council Dance was in the cafeteria. The prom was definitly at the LCRC. I remember because there was a very bad accident at the corner of Key and Heatherdowns folowing. I'm sorry to say I'm not so good at names anymore but it was one of our fellow students that owned a really nice gold colored  62 Chevy. I'll never forget that night.

I think Homecoming was at the Rec Center. Didn't we have an after partey at Imperial Lanes? I too have senior moments so could be way off the Imperial Lanes thing.

I have the original senior prom "bid" - "One Enchanted Evening" was held Saturday, May 18,1968 at the Lucas County Rec Center with the Lloyd Lewis Orchestra.

I vaguely remember the prom at the Rec Center and an after party at a bowling alley.  Dang, that was a half century ago!!

Hope you all are staying safe and healthy!  ðŸŒµ

Larry Rosell?

Hey Pat, it wasn't Larry Rosell, he was in the class of 67. He was in a bad wreck when he crashed his Corvette over by the Secor Hut doing about 80 down Sylvania Ave and lost control and flipped his Vette.

Greg Duncan  got into a bad accident behind Imperial Lanes. There were other guys in the car but I can't remember who they were. They ended up in a ditch and I think they all got hurt. Greg hurt his arm and hand really bad.

Definitely an all night thing at Imperial Lanes, remember bowling. Who were your dates? I went with Chris Bankey. Tom and Barb Glick Wright doubled with us and we had fondue at Chris's house first. Never had had fondue before. His mom was cool. 52 years ago!!  I think the Whittier photo from the reunion had the most people! I missed the ones with the frame..Here in Ojai CA Edward Drummond Libbey is a star, he developed our downtown, a whole real estate development near me and our main park is Libbey Park. I live on the same road as his home. Hope you're all staying safe and well. Thanks for keeping up the 68 spriit. Even though I don't post, I'm out here reading.

Hey Betsy.. Never knew that about Ojai.. Same libbey as libbey glass I take it? I doubled with Billy O'Connor & his girlfriend in his new 442 Oldsmobile. I took a gal from central HS.. Cindy Dennis. We still talk on FB and last year during our reunion she and her hubby joined us, after the game, at an OSU Football game that Dale arranged. In fact it was her that got us the Sylvania Country Club tee times when we played during our reunion week. Dave Dunmeade, Arnie Fretz, Mark Hall, Marges husbands, Cindy's brother, someone else's husband and myself...Nice memories... Great Reunion!

I definitely agree that the prom was at the rec center.  I remember someone trying to spike the punch (which never happened).  Then the after party was a lock-down at Imperial Lanes.  What a fun night that was!  I feel sorry for this year's seniors who are denied the special memories of their senior prom.

The Prom was at LCRC with after party lock-in at Imperial Lanes.  I remember a bad accident on Key and Heatherdowns. I believe that Dean Duncan and Pat Weeks we're in it. Don't know who was with them though.

Hey Pat, I got to thinking last night and it wasn't Larry Rosell that flipped his Vette on Sylvania Ave, it was Rick Knapp who flipped his Vette....my bad.....

We had a bit of excitement in little old Lambertville, MI last night.  At the corner of Secor & Sterns we had a "Black Lives Matter" protest.  At the corner of Secor & Summerfield there was another group - the leader has been known for posting racist & sexist comments.  He owns a gun store at this corner & flies a Confederate flag in his front window.  There were a number of guys with guns standing around.  I understand all was peaceful.

I believe in the right of free speech - heck I attended some Vietnam war protests in my hippie days.  I just hope everyone can learn to "agree to disagree".  We need to push our "do nothing" politicians to work harder for justice for all.  We need to stop the hate & learn to respect one another.  Above all the violence must stop.

PEACE & LOVE!!

Hey Frank, sorry I missed your B'day but sometimes I don't get updates about peoples Birtdays, so if I have missed anyone's B'day....HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to all !

So just to let you know the Dr. said I could start to get fitted for my prosthetic foot. I have talked to one prosthetic vendor and she said I should have no problem getting back to walking and doing all the other things I did when I had my foot. That was excellant news for me. I have to see one more vendor, so I hope the fitting process will start next week.

I want to thank all who have called me, sent messages and have said prayers for my quick recovery. I know they have all helped because I have been doing really good and healed like the Dr. wanted.

I have said a prayer for all and especially for some of our classmates who also have had some medical problems. I hope everyone is doing better and feeling the prayers we all send out to all out classmates.

Hope everyone is enjoying summer as limited as it is.
