Question. How many of our classmates married fellow classmates?

RIP Hal. Remeber him well and pleasantly so. The double edged sword of a long life, is saying goodbye to those who helped make it meaningful. Going for 71 this year, who'd a thought.

Greetings,

If you haven’t heard by now, our June “Fundango” was one of our most fun and successful. We had close to 30 participants and there was a lot of good conversation and laughter. I got to hear some stories that I had never heard before, perhaps the most entertaining being the $20 worth of dinner frustrations that Rick Boyd had to endure on his prom date with Pam Galbraith. Then too, Cathy Burcewicz was showing off some claw like object that came out of Billy Carstensen’s neck vein, that looked like something from an alien possession movie.

I am looking forward to the encore performance which is scheduled to happen at our July “Fundango” on Tuesday, July 6th, out on the Lost Peninsula, at Tony’s Quarterdeck, located on 6215 Edgewater Dr.

Our July “Fundango” location came to our attention as a result of being highly recommended by Kim Wening, and we are assuming that its riverfront location should make for an ideal setting on a warm summer late afternoon. So plan on joining us at 4pm and on staying until your classmates run out of Start High School memories to share or money to spend (whichever comes first). Hope to see you there.

As many of you know, we established a Memorial fund for the Class of 68 at our last Fundango. We raffled two Ohio State jackets. Winners were Rick Boyd and Dave Dugai. The raffle raised $110.

The fund will provide a way for the Class of 68 to acknowledge a member who is ill or has lost a spouse. In addition the fund will provide a memorial gift to a charity listed in an obituary in memory of the classmate that has passed. If none is listed, a donation will be made to Toledo Public Schools Foundation, restricted to Start.

Thank you to all who purchased raffle tickets at the Fundango. A special thanks to John Lipski who read about our new fund and sent a very generous check.

Good news, non-OSU fans. Michigan windbreakers for the next raffle at the August Fundango wherever it may be.
