Sending all classmates the blessings of a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy 2023.  I like your ham radio slang, John, thank you.  Stay safe.

Greetings,

I trust that everyone managed to survive our recent "flash freeze” weather event and enjoyed their Christmas weekend.

I also want to remind everyone that our December “Fundango” is today (December 27th), starting at 4:00, at the SpringMeadows Ralphies, located at 6609 Airport Highway.

And finally, being a casual Ohio State fan, I have made arrangements for a GameDay Party, on December 31st, at the SpringMeadows Ralphies. But since I don’t want to snub our classmates that have opted to be Michigan fans, I will be setting up for the 4:00 Fiesta Bowl game (featuring Michigan vs. TCU), however, the main event will remain the Ohio State vs. Georgia playoff matchup in the Peach Bowl, and you all are invited (and encouraged) to attend. The Ralphies staff will be providing us with the multiple viewing options of the playoff games that ESPN will be making available. I will be providing non-alcoholic beverages and eats.

That’s it, looking forward to seeing everyone.

Happy New Year! Fortunately your northern weather has returned to its rightful home. Our winter weather has come home so it was 75 today, as it should be.

Hi everyone. Thanks for the birthday wishes!.  I told my kids I was celebrating the 55th anniversary of my 18th birthday!!  That starting me thinking of my eighteenth birthday and  senior year, trip to NYC,  meetting Betty through Dale's introduction, driving a GTO convertable (when it ran) crazy lunch room activities, and on and on. I am so much happier now!  (of course with a few challenges). And ....Hard to believe.......Betty STILL loves me!

Have a great year and seek to serve the One who loves you. Love you all, Paul

So here we are in the "January doldrums" & I need to hear what's keeping everyone busy.  I've done the cleaning bit (BORING) but I need some ideas to keep "pleasantly" busy.  My Tai Chi class resumed last week & I'm so thankful - really missed it over our holiday break - that's once a week.  No traveling on the agenda - YET.  Let me hear what's going on with you

Enjoying the sunshine and beach in Florida for the winter.

Thanks, Nancy, for starting up some conversation with the class.  Sad to say, it's been a little quiet without the posts from Pat.  He always got something started.  The good news is we haven't had any accumulated snow - yet.  I've joined an exercise class two days a week, and a book club once a month.  I also meet some ladies where I used to live for lunch  once a month.  Thankfully for this good weather, I'm still able to get out for occasional walks on the paths within the complex.  Nothing exciting, but it keeps me busy - or at least as busy as I want to be.   When the weather looks up (probably in the spring), I'm going to try and make a couple of fundangos.

I have recently been introduced to Meet Up- no it's not a dating site. It is a way to connect with people who have like interest and can be anything fron hiking to knitting. I just joined a group for people 60 and older who like to do a variety of activities like poker, walking, travel etc. Www.meetup.com

My wife Sandy and I are hiding out in the Florida Keys for 5 weeks. We just met up yesterday with Tom and Barb (Glick) Wright at a Glenn Miller Orchestra concert here in Marathon. Sunny and mid 70s here. We're not missing winter. Hope you all are doing well.

I'm rehabbing a new right hip that I received November 1st. Haven't played any golf, but I'm getting ready too. Things down in SW Florida are slowly getting back to normal, still a lot of Hurricane Ian damage is evident. We would usually be down on Ft. Myers beach walking or enjoying the beach, but that has been put on hold for a while. I hope the rest of you are enjoying the new year. Stay safe

Greetings and Salutations,

Wanting to get ahead of tomorrow’s snowmageddon event that will be impacting the greater Toledo area, I thought that it would be a good time to share the latest news regarding our monthly “Fundango.”

Our next “Fundango” venue will be the “Smokehouse/734” (7309 Lewis Ave., Temperance MI), and we will be convening on Tuesday, January 31st, at 3:30. Hope that you all can make it.

Greetings,

The days of February are nearing their end and its time to start planning for this month’s “Fundango.” We have decided to try Chinese this time around, and have made reservations at the “Hot Sizzling Wok,” which is a Chinese American Restaurant.

So on your calendars mark down Tuesday, February 28th, starting at 4:00 and ending around 6:00. On your GPS, program in 2333 West Laskey Road. That’s it, hope to see you there.

RIP, John Carman. Hate seeing another classmate pass on!  I am rehabbing from a total right knee replacement January, 16th.  Haven't played golf since my knee gave out (bone on bone) in late October, '22. Rehab for my knee is so much harder than when I had rehab for my open heart surgery!!  But, got to stick with it until the end of April. My Cleo keeps me company all the time, while staying home  πŸ’•πŸΎπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
