I remember Tom at the 20th reunion. He was sick then and made a huge effort to be there. He knew he didn't have long to live. I hugged him hard. I lost my step-brother and an uncle to AIDS.

Gerald R Schings(husband) (40 yrs June 13) and I were at 20th reunion and talked to Tom as I remembered him and Mark (can't remember last name) but he and Tom were always at top of class and Mark became a priest. I missed this reunion as we tried to get info but no luck. Hopefully a 45 yr reunion will happen .

I'll never forget the senior trip with Tom. Tom singing to me on the elevator. Bobby Pearson sang with him. Bloody Mary Baby was the song they sang. It was an original composition.

The year after HS graduation, I heard the rumor that Tom Aring and I had married.  Tom and I thought that was pretty funny.  If people only knew!  He stayed my close friend for our first two years of college.  I visited him in DC when he lived right on DuPont Circle and saw him in his new life discovering all the variables in the world away from Ohio.

One of the last times I saw Tom we went to eat at the Gracewood Grill with Patti Irons (Conti).  Tom & I both lived on Gracewood, so it was coming back to our roots.  We were really happy and I have a great picture for my memories.
