Bill High let me know that Bones went through the procedures and is doing better.  He is still with his daughter.

Greetings from afar, well almost from afar. Tomorrow (Sunday), I and my family will be traveling, heading overseas to Turkey for a few days. I mention this for two reasons.

First, tomorrow (June 10th) is also the 50 year anniversary of our graduation from Start HS (can you believe it). Ed and I had considered having our June “Fundango” on the 10th, until we realized that it was on a Sunday and we decided to that a Sunday gathering had the potential to conflict with too many other activities.

But even if we would have had our “Fundango” on the 10th, I would not have been able to make it. Unfortunately, we will also be gone the 3rd Tuesday of the month, June 19th, which is when we scheduled our next “Fundango” for.

So, while I am traveling with my family, over in Turkey, you all will be partying down by the river at El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant (mexicanrestauranttoledo.com). That is correct, our June “Fundango” is scheduled for June 19th, down on “The Docks,” at El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant. Happy Hour there is from 4 to 8, when they will be offering a discount on selected beverages.

Hope that you all can make (even though I can’t), and, oh yeah, Happy, Almost, 50 Year Anniversary.

I thought Sue asked if the Fandango could be on the 3rd or the 29 as she would be passing thru Toledo on those dates

Roger,

Thanks for thinking of me.  We waited until last Weds. to see a post about the Fundango and never saw one, so now our plans no longer include a stop in Toledo.  In addition, our kids in Florida decided to come for a visit...arriving the same day we get home so can't delay on the back end either (29th).  I am probably out of luck for Fundangos now...so see you in October!

Joey, I know he was Bono, but, as we get older its was easier to just say Bones.

Kim, that's not a good answer , Bones has 5 letters and Bono has 4 , he'll always be Bono to me it's easier lol

I talked with a friend of mine and he told me that Judy Bolton(Hall) had passed away . He thought it was the same Judy Bolton from our class. If anyone knows if this is true please contact me so that she may be added to the Memorial page. Thanks

Frank I Googled the obituary and there was no mention of this Judy K Bolton attending Start High.  She was born in 1951 so the year of her birth kinda fits. It lists a brother David ... does anyone know if our Judy had a brother?

06/17/18 01:31 PM #2628

Pam Galbraith (Hudson)

Pat and Frank, I don't know about a brother for Judy Bolton but she had an older sister that graduated in 1966 from  Start named Jo Ann ( I think she had a nickname of "Tookie" or something like that).

Thanks Pam,

The obituary only lists a sister Sue... No mention of Jo Ann so maybe we dodged this bullett!

I think that this Judy Bolton was from East Toledo

Sorry that I won't be able to make the "Fundango" this evening, but I am still over in Turkey with my family, visiting some sites that are part of either Biblical history or early church history (who knew that Turkey was the "other" Holy Land, not me). So I hope that everyone has a great time this evening and hopefully we can all catch up at the next "Fundango."
