Glad surgery went well Jeff.  Wish you the best in recovery. Hopefully in a month or so we can hit the links again with Arnie and other friends.

tt was a miracle, otherwise I'd still be innthe Hospital, waiting on the skin graft to take hold.  Might need more than a month, range of motion on my right side is pretty poor, but as as possible, go to get the boys out there for a day of golf, bullshit, and lies.

Hi Frank - our Melbourne, FL classmate is Rick Burr & he's healing well.  The man who experienced prayers answered is Jeff Willets & he is also on the mend.  Thank God that you are doing well - just made you slow down a bit more??   I hope all of the great class of '68 comes through this pandemic.  Prayers & blessings for everyone - please take care & stay home - even though we all hate that.

Aloha from quarantine in Hawaii! I hope this finds you all well. I have a proposal for the group... Since we can't have "in the flesh" Fundango's is there any interest in holding a Zoom Fundango? I have been attending meetings for my film work and other groups via Zoom and it's almost like being there. We would need a moderator maybe Dale and a co host I'm thinkin Ed. (Or I would be happy to do it) And we could all have like 3-5 minutes each to greet classmates and tell each other how life is going during this trying time. There is a $15. Charge per month so we could do multiple Fundango's if the interest is there. I'll just leave it out there but what a great way for classmates who no longer live in the Toledo area to connect with old friends. If this does work out maybe we can include a Zoom session at future Fundangos held in Toledo. Please reply with your thoughts on this.. Stay home and stay safe dear friends! Wishing you all Peace, Love and Aloha

Pat & La-Li Gilbert

I don't know about everyone else but I'm really tired of being "grounded" - feels like I'm back in school.  Thank goodness the weather is getting better so we can at least get outside & get some fresh air.  I'm really tired of cleaning - thank goodness I have only 3 rooms left to do.  I sincerely hope & pray that everyone is safe & well.  This has certainly been an experience I don't want again.  To those who were recovering from illness prior to this pandemic, I hope you are doing well.  I'm looking forward to our next Fundango!  You are all in my daily prayers & I'm sending a big hug your way.  Let's get some chatter going - how's everyone doing??

As a survivor of one of the world's last great pandemics [Polio] and years of shelter in place situations [many surgeries over years of summers] I am strangely at ease with the current situation. You learn enjoy reading, puzzles,  and limited opportunities to go out and you learn to make the best of it. Hope everyone else has found a way to work through it.

I agree with Nancy that nice weather will be a relief. And I agree with Gary that this has been an opportune time to catch up on some great reading, do some online brain games and cuddle with my dog. I let go of the things I cannot control and this is one of them. I am working from home so do have some hours of the day taken up with tasks from my job but the flexibility it wonderful. If this is what retirement is like, it's clear why you all enjoy it!

By the way, very little time has been spent cleaning the house...................

I can relate to Gary as I have been at home with an infection in my left leg for the last 7 months, so haven't been out much. I posted a message on our home page explaining what has happened over the last year to me. I hopefully can get out when things change and I get better.

I remember being in kindergarten with Jan and 1st grade with Gary Johnson. Funny thing we also graduated from UT too.  Lots of great times in between.   I hope that Frank, Jeff, Bones and other classmates recovering from illness and injury get better soon.  The weather has been spotty. Would love to have one of those nice Spring 70 degree days with lots of sun.  Itching to play more golf with the Start gang.  Hang tough as we Spartans always do.

WOW - this "age 70" is really putting some of us to the test.  I'll continue my daily prayers for all of us & look forward to the next Fundango.  Please take care & be safe!

Hello All - I just got off the phone with Frank Bialecki.  His nurse had just left, so we talked for quite a while.  He sure has been through it, but has a very positive attitude.  He said he's moved to Waterville, and lives in a neighborhood that takes care of the neighbors.  He's looking forward to getting his prosthesis, but for now he's still in his wheelchair.  He's in the house all day, every day (aren't we all), but he's following doctors' orders and not doing anything to make his leg worse.  He's going to try and sleep in his bed tonight for the first time in over a year.  His nurse and his son are checking in on how he's doing twice a week.  He's had a pretty rough go of it since the reunion, so if we could all say a prayer for him - he would like that.  He says he needs a haircut (don't we all), and probably in another month or two it will be long enough for a ponytail.  I told him he'd be a hippie again like when we were younger, only he'd be old.  I just wanted to tell everyone that he would appreciate a phone call 419-878-9474, and he can't wait to get his prosthesis so he can get his Corvette out this summer and go for some rides.  On another note, I'm not 70 yet either and don't turn that age until December - so technically I'm still a spring chicken at 69.  Thanks everyone.   Marcia (Kelso) Wilkinson

I also won't be 70 until 12/3 so I'm still a youngster. Best wishes and prayers to all Spartans and a speedy recovery. I never seem to know what day it is, (they last 72 hrs)and time doesn't mean much either. Stay safe, stay home, stay well. Can't wait for a fundago. I haven't done much cleaning either, there's always tomorrow...

I wish everyone good health during this time and send prayers to those Spartans who are struggling. Gary is right, we can all find ways to cope.  Luckily here in Tucson we can still golf, with restrictions, and it's nice to be able to get out in the fresh air.  Gotta say, I'm not getting into spring cleaning at all!  I've been baking and cooking too much.  Will be Happy Hour Zooming with the family all across the US today!  I think the pandemic is  forcing us to be more creative, and that's a good thing.  P.S. I won't be 70 til 12/18, so I still get to pretend I'm "young"!

Just to let all know, I’m 10 weeks now from open heart surgery. Played golf last week for the first time since surgery. A little sore but ok. Swim a little every day but dr told me to slow down a little. Staying in as much as possible, since I’m in two of the high risk groups-diabetes and heart failure. I hope all others are doing well. I’m not 70 until 12/8 this year.

Thanks to all for the birthday greetings!  If you did not know already, I was married on my 20th birthday, so it’s a great celebration this year.
