Thanks for the update Frank. I had Mr. Bushong for my 1st semester freshman year for Algebra. Then our class was disbanded, and I had Mr. Kroggel.

I'm sorry to hear of Mr. Bushong's passing.  I had him freshman year for Basic Math.  Kris Kersey and I were the thorns in his side in that class, and we had a lot of fun with him.  He was a real sport and very patient.  If I'm not mistaken his wife at the time taught at Start too.  May he rest in peace.

I had Mr. Bushong for applied math and algebra. He was absolutely my FAVORITE teacher at Start. When I started my teaching career, we ran into one another as his daughter, Jerilyn, went to the grade school that I was teaching in. My husband,Ron, became acquainted with Mr. B at Libbey High School where Ron taught. Mr. Bushong was in some type of disciplinary position there.  As I said he was my FAVORITE, and it is sad to know that he has passed on.

Mr. Bushong was my freshman algebra and homeroom teacher. Also had the late Mr. Hower for 8:00 English. Between the two, a great way to begin the high school experience. Rest in peace Mr. B. and Mr. H.

Great man I had him for last hour study hall. He gave me one of the hardest walks I ever got.

A bunch of us were in Mr Bushong's homeroom and Freshman Algebra class. He started me on my love of math. When I was a Senior he also asked me to tutor a Freshman coed who was struggling with her math. I ended up taking her to my Senior Prom. :)

Thanks Mr Bushong!

Fond memories of that algebra class. Remember Karen Senn and I getting into trouble for talking. I think he calked us Senn and Bachman. Didn't know he played for Michigan. Go Blue Mr. B.

So very sad to hear of Mr. B's passing. I had him for algerbra my freshman year. I learned a lot about football that class too! Many equations were in a form of a football question! He also had my son many years later when he was in Algerbra. RIP Mr. B

Greetings,

How did it get to be almost the end of January? We have just enough time to squeeze our January “Fundango” onto this month’s social calendar, so mark all of this down, in ink.

On Tuesday, January 25th, starting at 3:30, we will be gathering (drum roll please) at the Maumee Bay Brewing Company, which is located at 27 Broadway Street, Toledo, OH.

I’ve included a link to their web site so that you can check out their menu (I may try their prime rib dip). Hope to see you there.

I want to thank you for all the birthday greetings. This week I enter full retirement mode. It's going to take some getting used to...

Happy Birthday London. Congratulations on retirement. I've been retired a while, and I bet you figure it out quickly. You can get up and do whatever it is you want to do. As long as you check with your wife and it's what she wants to do. Simple

I need some help so thought I would reach out to you all for some advice. There are a few small projects inside my house that can be done now and some additional outside projects that would wait until spring. Do any of you use a handyman/woman who is reliable and fairly priced? I would like to find someone that does small projects for a living rather than a general contractor who would try to fit in small projects. Would need to be in Toledo area. (I am in Rossford.) Any referrals appreciated!

Thank you Pat. Happy Year of The Tiger to you. I have one question for you though. Have you got used to being retired yet? Have you figured out retirement? Hope you are enjoying it and playing a lot of golf course that's pretty much what I do

Greetings,

Happy almost St. Valentine’s Day. And speaking of which, on the day after St. Valentine’s Day, Tuesday February 15th, we are planning on having our February “Fundango.”

After consulting with our staff of expert, Toledo Metro-area, social life advisors, we have decided to convene February’s version of our monthly social event, at the much beloved and nostalgic, Inky’s Italian Restaurant, which is located at 3945 N. Detroit Ave., and will start at 3:30 and last until whenever.

So bring your high school memories, and lets all gather together at one of our favorite high school haunts, and we can spend some time talking, sharing, and connecting once again.

Hope to see you all there.
