Walter "Chip" Carstensen

Our classmate Dave Dugai had an open heart operation on an aorta aneurism on Monday.  Annette said that he is doing well after a tough couple of days, and is in good spirits.  I gather that he will be in the hospital for a few more days recovering and walking etc. per normal open heart patient protocol.  Please keep him and his family in your prayers!  All the best to him, and others who are healing up from illness and surgery!

Dave Dugai is still in hospital recovering.  He is out of ICU now, but developed fluid in his lungs which causes him to cough and obviously is painful.  He is in good spirits and healing up well.  Hopefully, once the fluid clears he can go home.  Please keep him and Annette in your prayers!    Get well soon Dave, we are all pulling for you.

Praying for Dave's full recovery as well as prayers for some of our other classmates who could use a boost:

as well as anyone in need.  We are of that age when anything could happen to any of us.

Mea Culpa, Mea Culpa. Ed and I acknowledge that we are slackers and apologize profusely for our negligent ways. We both appreciate, and support, that our fellow classmates, Kim and Kathy, covered for us and arranged for this month’s “Fundango.”

Thank you ladies.

As you know, I am a follower of The Ohio State Buckeyes, and I have made arrangements with the SpringMeadows Ralphies to use their event room for some serious GameDay tailgating, for this Saturday’s Ohio State vs. Penn State, top 15, match-up. You all are invited to join us. The game starts at noon. Pizza, onion rings, french fries, and beverage provided.

Oh, and before I forget, in an effort to make amends, Ed and I have set up the November “Fundango,” for Tuesday, November 29th, starting at 4:00, at the Monroe Street Jo-Jo’s Original Pizza (4336 Monroe Street). Come and relive the time that you and your date went out to Jo-Jo’s for a pizza after a Start HS basketball game.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow evening.

Since it is such short notice and a few requests, tomorrow night is cancelled.  No fandango for October.  See every one in November.  Kim

Fond memories of Judy at the reunion!!  She certainly fought the battle for as long as possible.  May she rest in peace with her son.  Much love to Deb & family!

So sorry Deb and family. Had a blast with her at the reunion. Remember her at Whittier. She did put up the good fight for several years.
She's now with her son.
