Thanks Gary, I accidently put his passing as 2013 by mistake. I have corrected his year in Memory page to 2018.

Thanks to Marge and Deb for posting all those great pictures!  Even though I have not seen many of you since '68, I recognize names and try to look the rest up in the yearbook.  Boy, have we all changed!  Everytime I look in the mirror, I wonder who that is looking back at me.  Certainly can't be MY reflection.  lol.   Wishin all of you the best and good health.  For now, my health issues seem to be in the rear view mirror.  Thank God for that. You all have a great day!

Greetings,

Had lunch with Ed yesterday and we made a decision regarding the November “Fundango,” so get out your social calendars and circle Tuesday, November 28th, starting at 3:30. We are guessing that your Thanksgiving Day feasting will have had time to become a fond memory, and you will have your appetites back again. Now get out your roadmaps and plot a course to "Angelo’s Northwood Villa” (6630 S. Dixie Highway), Erie, Michigan.

This venue was highly recommended to us by several of our classmates, and we were greatly impressed with the interior decor. It felt like we had walked into a movie set of the roaring twenties. And sure enough they allowed us to view their scrapbook showing their ties to both the former Northwood Inn on Summit Street and to their Prohibition Era mob connections. So this will be like a trip through a time portal.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

If you have never "experienced" Angelo's Northwood Villa, please join us.  It is truly part of the history of Toledo.  Yes the scrapbook is available - it is very old so be very careful.  Thank you to Gary for sharing the videos.  Not only is it a fun place but the food is great.  I highly recommend the perch.

The original "Angelo's" was on Stickney Ave. My mom worked there as a waitress for yrs. The original name was not "Angelo's" Northwood Villa it was just called the Northwood Villa. If you want to find out more about the Purple Gang and Toledo gang affiliation read the book "Unholy Toledo" it is all about how Toledo was pretty much a safe haven for gangs of Detroit, Chicago and Cleveland back then.

And don't forget the Northwood Inn on Summit Street - a group of us went there for dinner prior to our Senior Prom.  At that time it was owned by Gen Dokurno I believe.

And the Northwood Inn became Fritz & Alfredo's! Great Mexican & German food.

Northwood Inn was never Fritz and Alfedo's. Fritz and Alfredo's was on N Summit St  and was opened in 1992 until they moved to Holland Rd location. They closed in Sept of 2021.

Frank, Nancy & I are talking about the Summit St. location that was Northwood Inn (not Villa).  It then became Fritz & Alfredo's that eventually moved to McCord, closed their doors & is now Cabo Cantina.

Frank, you're forgiven. I think we all get confused these days.

AMEN to confusion & fading memory - daily!  I remember thinking that my parents were old when they didn't remember something - now I'm in the same shape

I think it's because we all have so many memories we've stored during our 73 years!
