Thanks for posting the pics, Marge.  I know it's a pain but everyone enjoys them - especially our out of town Spartans.

Sue Ehrhardt Hancock asked me to post this info (she's having trouble accessing the website).

Linda had a blood disease for years that recently escalated to leukemia. She was starting treatment but got pneumonia.  Bruce found that the treatments were not going to help at all.  Everything turned the wrong way and she ended up in hospice.  It is so sad and awful.  Not expected at all.  Today was Bruce's birthday...so so sad.  She's in hospice at Flower Hospital (Ebeid?) if you want to send love.  She's still fighting but it isn't a happy ending.

Thanks to Sue for the info.  Prayers for a peaceful journey for Linda & peace and comfort for the family.

Honoring  Linda:

Fear

by Khalil Gibran

It is said that before entering the sea
a river trembles with fear.

She looks back at the path she has traveled,
from the peaks of the mountains,
the long winding road crossing forests and villages.

And in front of her,
she sees an ocean so vast,
that to enter there
seems nothing more than to disappear forever.

But there is no other way.
The river can not go back.

Nobody can go back.
To go back is impossible in existence.

The river needs to take the risk
of entering the ocean
because only then will fear disappear,
because that’s where the river will know
it’s not about disappearing into the ocean,
but of becoming the ocean.

____________

May Linda's family and friends find comfort in this time.  Blessings to all.
