I have had a hard time getting email to work this morning to send to reunion attendees. If you plan to come over to The Renaissance, the Hospitality Room is 924. Text Kim (567-698-1968) or Jan (419-704-1759) and we will come to the lobby and get you. You need a guest room key to access the hotel floors (other than 12th floor). Class members who are staying at the hotel can use their room keys for any floor access.

We have great snacks and plenty of them!

Janis Fought (Brown)

Kim and I are so grateful that so many alums made time to come to the 50th reunion. The committee’s hard work was more than rewarded by everyone who attended the multiple events. The comaraderie of the Class of 68 is inspiring. To see people who didn’t really know each other in high school talking, laughing, dancing was a real joy. Truly, our goal was to see classmates get to know each other as adults with amazing life journeys. A lot of you said thank you, but, really, it is us who thanks you for making the weekend a time to remember for the rest of our lives.

Kim Frisk (Jensen)

What a joy it was to reunite with our Classmates from so long ago! And to express our affection towards each other in ways we couldn't do teenagers. So we can all go back to our lives, but with a treasure trove of new memories to recall!

10/08/18 01:01 PM #2850

Kim Wening (Maros)

I have never been involved in a project like this before, but, my partner in crime, Jan Fought Brown, showed me the ropes.  This hole weekend was a labor of love.   We all have grown over the last 50 years.  I'm sure we all have been through the trials and tribulatlons,  great times, good times.  We are now the wise generation.  HOW DID WE GET HERE ?  It was a joy to see everyone enjoying themselves.  That is what it was all about.  Thank you again for our friends Cheryl and Pam (+helpers), Karen and Paula (+helpers), and especially my Eddie Kanarowski and my Dale Bennington, Great job at Packos.  My darling Joe Goodell, you did a dyno-mite!!!! job on the picnic.  I also love your uncles.  The choices of food were Perfect.  It couldn't have gone better.  So, all my love to everyone who came.  My love to those who couldn't be here.  Kim

PS I forgot Chip (for stepping up again as our class president again. Also, for helping Jan and me when we needed you, which was alot.) Sorry Chip, that is a job for life.)  and Pat Gilbert (for the pictures and advertising)

10/08/18 04:02 PM #2851

Kim Wening (Maros)

Oh, Margie and Nancy, and your helpers, I love u too.  You did a bang up job.  I had  brain fatigue today.  Jan and I love all of you.

10/08/18 06:10 PM #2852

Pat Martin (Lipps)

Well said, Kim.  It was so much fun to reconnect!  You all have had amazing life journeys!

10/08/18 10:18 PM #2853

Susan Ehrhardt (Hancock)

Words cannot describe the fun I had this weekend.  Reconnecting with old friends, and creating new friendships with classmates I didn't know well way back when.

I can't believe all the work that went into such a wonderful weekend.  The commitees and all the members did an outstanding job.  My husband, Mike, also wishes that I extend his thanks.  Many classmates and spouses made him feel welcome, and he said he enjoyed watching myself and many others flitting about hugging and laughing with friends.

It was a bit sad as we pulled out of Toledo today.  I hope I can return for some more Fundangos in the future.

I hope everyone made it back home safely, and I thank those that traveled so far to be there!

Love you all!

Marcia Kelso (Wilkinson)

I've never been so tired in all my life - wish I could have had the pep I did when I was younger.  I sure am glad and grateful that I got an invitation to this reunion, as I never have been invited to one before.  It was a great three days of very well planned and coordinated events thanks to all the workers and their committees.  It was really nice talking to people that I hadn't seen in 50 years, and having all those pictures taken; I can't wait to get my zip drive.  That photographer was great and should be thanked for all her patience.  I think we had the best class ever, and it will be a weekend I won't forget for a long time.  Thanks for all the out-of-towners who traveled so far to be there - it was greatly appreciated and I loved seeing you all and catching up. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

10/09/18 10:43 AM #2856

Dale Benington

I trust that everyone had a great long weekend, enjoying our 50 year class reunion, I know that I did. I must apologize, I had been asked to have our November “Fundango” all lined up and ready to announce during our reunion “Fundango” over at the original Tony Packo’s, but I did not.

As most of you know, I have been unexpectedly operating without the services of my “Fundango” wingman, “Eddie” Kanarowski, who tragically (metaphorically speaking) crash landed (off his step ladder) and is presently convalescing (after successful surgery) and enjoying some well deserved R & R.

So understanding that I made all of these arrangements while flying solo, please consider, placing on your social calendar, on Thursday, November 15th, starting at 6 pm and lasting until whenever (they close at 11 pm), our November social offering of having our next “Fundango” at the Carlos Poco Loco, located at 1809 Adams Street, right next door to the relocated, of infamous fame from our younger years, Ottawa Tavern.

Now while I personally wouldn’t know about these things, and I don’t want to mention any names (Jan), but I have been told (Jan) that the Carlos' Poco Loco, serves an outstanding margarita, that many of you (not me, of course) would truly enjoy. On the other hand, I have managed to enjoy a sampling of some of their fine ethnic cuisine and personally found it to be very good.

So I hope that you all can make it, and I look forward to hearing everyone’s stories about their many reunion experiences.

10/09/18 12:13 PM #2857

Karen Case (Bruns)

To the organizing committee et al;

Thank you all for pouring your heart and soul into making this event so memorable. It was such fun to see everyone having such a good time. I am so grateful that I was privileged to be part of the special class of 1968! Cheers, Karen Case
